On a good weather day (for safety):
Take down lights
Make sure all lights are in good condition for next year.
Remember you will be you putting the lights up next year so bundle them like you want them. See our storing tips.
Create a marking system to mark product as they are taken down. This will speed up the installation time for next year. Mark each end so you know what goes where. See our storing tips.
Mini Lights
Bundle lights as you take them off the tree
Twist-tie them or put a rubber band around them (Remember, rubber bands go bad). See our storing tips.
Cords
Leave the extension cords bundled loose. Bundling cords too tightly will pull on inner wires and cause stress on cords creating weak points.
